Tiger Fish are legendary fresh water game fish. For centuries fishermen (and women) have pitted their strength and wits against these formidable opponents, and they are renowned trophy fish. Pan African Lodge and Safaris is proud to offer Tiger Fishing Trips in one of the only two locations in South Africa where these fish are found – the Komati River in Komatipoort.
With exclusive access to a stunning 6km stretch of the pristine Komati River, our guests can look forward to a day of tranquility and natural beauty. Birders will enjoy the experience too!

What is the record Tiger Fish caught so far?
Our skipper Riaan’s personal best so far is a 4.7 kg tiger fish. However, the largest recorded catch in the Komati River is around 12 kg.
